The military dictatorship had some initial success but then end up putting our country into a spiral of inflaction that endured 30 years until 98 until Itamar Franco implemented the Real plan. Then things started to improve again under Lula with a commodity boom but we still didn't see any investments in basic education and our industry still can't compete.The abundance of natural resource is blessing and a curse at same time. Democracy also doesn't favour long term growth like what happened to China. I don't think there's any way to fix Brazil in the short-term.
