>How should we write down our language?

>idk bro just double every K and A or some shit who cares no one's learning this shit lmao

That's not as bad as putting shit like two dots above letters. I hate any kind of extra shit you have to put on the letters. Any why two dots instead of a line or something? They're wasting people's time. Every letter should be one stroke, two max. English is almost perfect in this, even though the pronunciations are retarded. But then I really hate the letter w. I prefer if vvas actually double v. Actually remove j and replace it with something like ii and then you have English that's using purely the Roman alphabet but with completely different fucktarded pronunciations. Kino!

ALSO I HATE LOVVERCASE. VVE SHOULD BE VVRITING FULL CAPS AT ALL TIMES!

The double consonants are not pronounced as single consonants. Single consonant and double consonant are different things. K =/= KK. Same goes for vowels. A =/= AA. Of course I wouldn't expect a simpleton such as an Anglo to understand things that require higher cognition.

Not our fault the Latin script only has vowel letters for front vowels. Drawing a line instead of two dots is generally acceptable although not officially correct as a line above a vowel is used for long vowels is many languages and could create confusion.

EFL finnish learners seem to have trouble with double letters in general. I wonder why that is?

The most befuddling thing about them is how they often confuse double consonants with double vowels and vice versa.

Doubling the letter is literally the most intuitive way to mark length. E.g. the Estonian orthography is way worse (though they have 3 lenghts).

English has long vowels, but they not phonemically. In English, quantity (length) correlates to tenseness instead.
