An interesting thing is that there was Christianity in India long before European colonization. It was taken there by Syrian immigrants and merchants:

When the Portuguese Catholics got there, they slaughtered a bunch of them because they were seen as competition

There are records. There was a thriving Orthodox (Eastern Syriac) Christian population in Kerela by 2nd century AD. It reaches India earlier most than european countries, through trade networks at the Malabar Coast.
Some legends say St. Thomas the apostle arrived at the coast in 52 AD.

Very interesting from a historical standpoint. It appears to be an Anglo rendition of what happened because the text below the painting is only in English and French, probably something from the 17th-18th century because after that period, the anglos fully pushed for the English language in all avenues and French language was gradually phased out of British culture.

https://www.reuters.com/article/world/indian-child-brides-sold-in-package-deals-to-men-from-gulf-states-idUSKBN1CF1F5/

We lined up 20 to 30 girls for each Arab in a hotel and he would select one. They (the men) gave the rejected girls 200 rupees ($3) to go back home," said Khan, now a police informer.
"The men came with old, used bridal clothes, soaps and nightgowns for the girl they would marry. Most marriages were 'time pass'," Khan told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
Police in the southern Indian city, a hub for tech companies, last month busted a racket involving wealthy men from Gulf states such as Oman and Dubai "marrying" teenage Muslim girls in Hyderabad for the duration of their stay in India

At independence 1947, muslims made up ~25% of the sovereign union of India. Muhammad Ali Jinnah of the Muslim League, was a strong proponent of unity, but claimed in a centralised majoritarian system, muslims would never hold any political or economic representation, and would later face persecution and security issues in India. This was partly motivated by Hindu elites, pushing for a strong centralisation.

Economically urban and mobile populations of Central India could afford to move (muhajirs), but for a lot of the people it just wasn't economically viable.
There were some urban intellectuals that were believers of secular values, and for some village/neighbour/ethnic/caste tribalism took precedence over religious tribalism.

and jinnah is just a face of muslim resentment about loss of power
muslims wanted power to come back to them after british left restore muslim dominance ,its impossible with congress and hindus are too politicized to accept neo mughal rule thats why they wanted their own israel
Pakistan movement is indian muslim zionism read the jinnah speech below its looks like israel to me

yeah many muslims stayed back because they dont want to leave their assets

https://m.rediff.com/news/interview/did-jinnah-not-want-partition/20201225.htm

In fact, on January 25, 1948, Jinnah, while addressing the Karachi Bar Association, was asked what the future constitution of Pakistan would be like. He found such a question annoying. He said that the constitution of Pakistan was given 1300 years ago in Islam and the Sharia will be the main source of the constitution.

On several other occasions, he said the same, later describing Pakistan as an ideological Islamic State, sometimes as a modern State, on other occasions as a Muslim democracy.

The word 'secular' was never used by Jinnah before the speech or in the speech of August 11, 1947, or even afterwards.

There’s nothing wrong with spacing your paragraphs retard.

Have you ever read an online article? A book? A post anywhere else on the internet that isn’t 4chan or leddit? It’s done for the convenience of the writer to space out their thoughts and make proofreading easier.
In any nta so don’t bother arguing with me.

its your avg muslims who rioted &burning down cities like culcatta that forced congress to accept partition ,if not jinnah someone else will take his place to lead muslim zionism

In leddit, pressing enter once automatically gets you a space between paragraphs.

Lyk

Dis

On 4chan however, pressing enter only gets you to the next line
Lyk
Dis

In either cases, there’s nothing wrong with spacing however you want. You can go check the archives for posts from 2003-2004 back when 4chan was completely new without this redditor boogeyman that haunts people here, and all the posters back then spaced their sentences however they wanted. In any case, we all know that 99% of posters here are from somewhere in the conventional part of the internet, there’s no anon that independently discovered this site, so hounding someone for being a redditor doesn’t mean anything.

>people change over time
Yes, I didnt deny this, but was the catalyst for that change?
How did a secular muslim educated from England, that ate pork, drank alcohol almost exclusively dressed in english garbs go from being the "ambassador of hindu-muslim unity" in his early political career, to a supporter/father of a separate nation state for muslims?

He wanted constitutional guarantees and safeguards for the political representation of the minority muslims in India. When Nehru, his buddy and ideological opponent, pushed for strong centralisation, and believe in the good will of people to erase any division amongst the populace.
What jinnah feared was the majoritarian government, a tyranny of the majority, like you can see with current government.
Pakistan wasn't his initial goal, he was driven towards it because from his perception it was the only way to safeguard minority interests.

No whether he just wanted power, suddenly became radical, or whatever, is theory and agenda crafting, and largely irrelevant to the creation of a sovereign nation of pakistan.

Modiji is saying that India will become a developed country by 2047, which is in 2 decades. Do you remember the state of India 10 years ago? Has anything improved since then? Do the roads look cleaner? Do people behave in a way more civilized?

10 years ago I used to travel like this myself in public buses. I still see people travelling like this in India today. Nothing changes. GDP growth does not equate to cleaner roads, less honking, less people pissing outside and groping women. Indians will act like Indians regardless.
>>
>>218790494
you are repeating what ayesha jalal claims but on the other side jinnah core aim is to divide india subcontinent on religious lines
>>Jinnah continued to reject any compromise, but suddenly on June 6, 1946, in a meeting held in camera he advised the All-India Muslim League Council to accept the Cabinet Mission Plan because in principle it conceded Pakistan which remained the real goal of the Muslim League and it would be attained but not immediately.

>>It is noteworthy that while the plan rejected the idea of Pakistan, it divided India into three groups, group A for Hindu-majority provinces and groups B and C for the Muslim-majority provinces in the north-eastern and north-western zones of India
muslim activists wanted a Yugoslavia like india that can eventually break up

on majoritarian issue i can see functioning of OIC countries who are openly muslim majoritarian persue islamic interests unapologetically

just posting feel free to ignore this comment
on unity ,from iqbal speech on need to have seperate muslim homeland in subcontinent
https://franpritchett.com/00islamlinks/txt_iqbal_1930.html
>>Nor should the Muslim leaders and politicians allow themselves to be carried away by the subtle but fallacious argument that Turkey and Persia and other Muslim countries are progressing on national, i.e. territorial, lines. The Muslims of India are differently situated. The countries of Islam outside India are practically wholly Muslim in population. The minorities there belong, in the language of the Quran, to the 'people of the Book'. There are no social barriers between Muslims and the 'people of the Book'. A Jew or a Christian or a Zoroastrian does not pollute the food of a Muslim by touching it, and the law of Islam allows intermarriage with the 'people of the Book'. Indeed the first practical step that Islam took towards the realisation of a final combination of humanity was to call upon peoples possessing practically the same ethical ideal to come forward and combind. The Quran declares: "O people of the Book! Come, let us join together on the 'word' (Unity of God), that is common to us all." The wars of Islam and Christianity, and later, European aggression in its various forms, could not allow the infinite meaning of this verse to work itself out in the world of Islam. Today it is being gradually realised in the countries of Islam in the shape of what is called Muslim Nationalism.

>jinnah core aim is to divide india subcontinent on religious lines
>it divided India into three groups
His aim wasn't always the creation of a seperate sovereign state. It became so much later, due to pragmatism and having to accept harsh realities, like nehru on kashmir.
You'll find a trend with people quoting his later remarks as some insidious plan. When his early political career was centered around fighting for a united india, rejecting seperate british electorates, communalism, religious mobilisation and dharnas. It was one of the reasons he grew distant from his more vocal religious proponents.

>muslim activists wanted a Yugoslavia like india that can eventually break up
Maybe, a section may have, but this is something that can be argued. It wasn't pakistan, and was governed by the same fears and realities. He didn't geographically divide the population, that's how they always were, and it was the politics followed that.

Jinnah Did Not Just Want Partition, He Wanted to Dismember India'
https://www.thewire.in/article/history/jinnah-partition-ishtiaq-ahmed/
Ahmed provides a wealth of evidence for debunking the bargaining chip theory, first popularised by Ayesha Jalal and thereafter accepted by many others. "Jinnah never, even once, showed any interest in a united India and in a power-sharing deal with Hindus and Muslims as equal nations sharing power at the Centre," he says.

He says “Jinnah was obsessed with having India partitioned”. He says that on March 30, 1941, in Kanpur, Jinnah made it clear that he did not care about the impact of Partition on Muslims who would be left behind in India. He saw them as necessary sacrifice.

Ahmed said Jinnah also supported calls to establish an independent state in South India called Dravidastan and even an independent Sikh state. In fact, Jinnah tried his best to get as much territory as possible out of India and integrate it into Pakistan, he says

pakistan movement was a collective effort as i am saying from the beginning this includes not just sunnis but shias ahmedisand ismailies its a pan islamic movement to form their islamic homeland

>bargaining chip theory
curious how i never even responded this way, yet you argued against that anyway.

That refers to the Cabinet Mission Plan being a bargaining chip to de-centralise India and his 1940s politics being deceptive, with the creation of pakistan as his only aim.
That's always been debatable, and partly irrelevant. Since you accepted early Jinnah sincerely believing in unity, wanting constitutional safeguards (even ahmed agrees this, albiet saying later on they were an eventually towards partition), you can accept that he was motivated towards pakistan due this >>218790494

i am clearly saying partition was collective muslim effort some muslim leguers may be power hungry some muslims have clear religious motives to establish a theological state based on Islamic principles see iqbal speech for reference
