Genuine question for my fellow amerimutts. Why are we supposed to be against walkable cities again? I understand some of us dislike black people, but why gimp our own neighborhoods and turn our cities into fugly parking lot conglomerates to spite the boogeyman?
>>218785157why is this guy dressed like Odin
>>218785207>dressed like
>>218785157What's the point? I don't want the stench of curry waking me up in the morning when the shrieking brown spicemongers are firing up their woks and tandooris every day. There is no benefit for me at all, I'll just drive in thanks and not live packed like a sardine.
>>218785157>to spite the boogeymanIt's to spite the oogaboogaman desu, but yes you're right. I like cars but would still like to be able to walk to more places. Actually enforcing anti vagrancy laws and having police walking foot patrols would drop urban crime much more too.
>>218785157What do you want in a walkable city that you can't have in a walkable suburb? I'd rather have a system that allows most jobs to be local rather than shuffling around a concrete jungle only to wash dishes for living on a block that's all restaurants the whole way down. The US already has good internal supply lines, who cares about cities?
>>218785157>Genuine questionNo it wasn't. You're a dick.We have walkable cities and communities. I've lived in two precisely because that's the lifestyle I want. They're generally expensive places to live because they're in high demand and/or take significant investment to create."Walkable" in a city or community is a feature you pay for to get, just like an oceanfront view or golf course.
I’d support walkable cities if we repealed the Civil Rights Act
