The reason it's so expensive is because it's meant to be a vacation home for rich boomers who want to haul their boat out
Nobody's actually meant to live there: lot is small (20 acres) and with zero mineral resources. It's also ridiculously far from even the tiny town of Oroville, never mind a 6 hour drive from Seattle. It's been sitting on the market for more than half a year because nobody has the money except rich boomers to even consider such a frivolous purchase like this and they're all reaching terminally ill age
>>
>>218794624
>woodshed in the middle of nowhere
>half a mill + tip
nonsense
>>
>>218795142
Oh yeah not to mention, they try very hard to hide it in the listing but 95%+ of those 20 acres are useless because there's a giant hill immediately behind the house. You have a tiny flat plain where the house already exists and a giant markup for "land" that's useless even if you wanted to improve it (that is unless you're a centimillionaire that can casually hire architects and engineers to build on the side of a dirt hill in the middle of nowhere)
>>
>>218795142
You can get the same here for 20-50k
>>
>>218795236

You can buy a BIGGER appartment in the middle of Leipzig for $150 000-200 000. It also won't be swept away by a tornado or an earthquake
>>
>>218795236
If you check it out on maps it's not very difficult terrain. Sparsely wooded, not flat but not hilly beyond the bluff behind the house. What is actually important is how it's zoned, because it's almost a guarantee that all but maybe 2 acres is zoned designated forest land, meaning you can't use it for anything but foresting. That is, unless you have hobbies like dirtbiking, shooting or any other kind of outdoor activity that doesn't involve permanent fixtures or terraformation of the landscape.
>>
>>218797366
Neither will this place, it's in a river valley. Worst thing you qould have to worry about is flooding. Based on where the bluff is, you'd be underwater in the event of an apocalyptic level flood
>>

>an apartment in a dense urban hellscape will cost you less than 20acres of unmolested mountain forest!

Yeah, I know such places are pretty safe, but I prefer to be insured. Just learn how maniacs like Ramirez or Bundy had it easy to break into people's houses.

there's a road right down by the water

Nigga, such price would be for a 2 room apartment somewhere in Moscow. Not a house.
Relatively good houses like on his pic cost as much as the house on his pic almost anywhere in Russia.

Okay, I just checked, you might be right. I thought the house on his pic was larger. Here's a similar house in the suburbs of my city, however with much worse inner interior. It's ~$164000
