winter lasts till May where I live

I live in Michigan. I'm not sure which is worse: the cold and the snow we get to experience 6 months out of the year, or the unbearable heat and humidity and mosquito swarms we get for the other half. There's maybe one month out of the year where I don't dread stepping outside.
