Our family's cat of 8 years died 4 hours ago because a woman in her 30s unfortunately ran him over.At least she was kind enough go door to door in the surrounding area to ask if they had a black cat until she reached our house and knocked on our door to break the news.He was still warm to the touch and urine was running out of him when i picked him up from the side of the road.

My cat, found him outside meowing in pain loud outside the window. Someone kicked him hard, shattering his hip. He was 14 and ended up having to be euthanized. Happened a few years ago, and thinking about it makes me both depressed and gives me homicidal impulses. If I ever find out who did it, they're gone.
