"Holiest Trinity", it's just that the "Santíssima Trindade" is only called "Santa" in English.

>What does the name of the (official or de facto) capital of your country mean?
Brasília - City of Brazil, so it means nothing.
São Paulo (de facto capital) - Saint Paul, from the Bible's Paul The Apostle.

日本の学校組織について解説してくれる記事や動画はありませんのか
このjc2は女子中学生2年に相当するのが明らかだが、中学って英語圏におけるjunior highなのか、それともmiddle schoolなのか。
自分はあんまり学校行ってないので、こういうことはさっぱり。

なお、EUは基本的にイギリスの綴りを採用しているもよう

>3.1. Irish/British spelling. Follow standard Irish/British usage, but remember that influences are crossing the Atlantic all the time (for example, the spellings program and disk have become normal Irish/British usage in information technology, while sulfur has replaced sulphur in scientific and technical usage).
>Do use a spellchecker, set to UK English, as an aid. Remember, though, to use your judgement and in case of doubt check in this guide or a dictionary.
>As a general rule, the first spelling given on the Oxford Dictionaries Premium website (subscription required), or on the Oxford Learner’s Dictionaries website, should be followed (making sure in each case that the British English dictionary is selected).
>An exception to this rule is the spelling of -is-/-iz- words (see below).

>3.2. -is-/-iz- spelling. Use the -is- spelling. Both spellings are correct, but this rule is to be followed for the sake of consistency in EU texts.

>3.3. Note, however, that the names of bodies in other English-speaking countries retain the original spellings, e.g. US Department of Defense; Australian Labor

In addition to what two Japanons explained, compulsory education in Japan covers a total of 9 years.
>6 years in 小学校 (elementary school)
>3 years in 中学校 (junior high school / lower secondary school).

高校 formally called 高等学校 (senior high school / upper secondary school) is not compulsory, but 98.8 percent of junior high schoolers go on to senior high schools as of 2020.
(To enter a senior high school, you have to take an interview and pass an entrance examination)

The most common type of senior high school is the full-time schooling system, but some schools offer the part-time schooling system or correspondence education.

Japanese has two equivalents of the word "emperor."
One is 皇帝 [koutei] and the other is 天皇 [ten'nou].
Japanese-English dictionaries describe the former refers to non-Japanese emperors whereas the latter refers to emperors of Japan, but I don't think the explanation is enough.

The word 皇帝 usually indicates a monarch or sovereign of an empire other than Japan, but the word 天皇 doesn't only mean a monarch or sovereign of Japan but also the head of Shinto because 天皇 and his family used to be said to be the mythical descendant of the goddess of the sun 天照大神 [Amaterasu Oomikami] that shows up in Japanese mythology, which is why 天皇 was thought of as 現人神 [arahitogami] (a god who appeared in the world in human form) until the GHQ that occupied Japan after WW2 made him proclaim that he is not a god but a human being.

To be brief, the world 天皇 doesn't only refer to a sovereign of Japan but also the head of the religion (just like a pope who is not only the head of the Catholic Church but also a sovereign of the Vatican City State).
However, foreigners who don't know much about this ask Japanese people why Japan still addresses him as the "emperor" even though Japan is no longer an empire ruling other ethnic groups.

I don't think the word "emperor" is the right word for the position 天皇, another or new word should be used.

Interesting, maybe simply taking tennou as a loan word would be best, as with pharaoh
