German is indeed a “mouth bulb, throat/esophagus closed, nose closed” language.
It tries to equalize vowels & consonants.

Vowels are vowels, consonants are consonants. The rest are quirks & idiosyncrasies that separates languages.

When one speak German, they open mouth or talk loudly but nearly close their esophagus and nostrils. Even while a German person inhales or exhales while talking, he or she is using the “roof” of the mouth bulb.

The lisp is like that because you don't know how to talk English with your esophagus relaxed, and nostrils too in some cases.

German – Huge mouth bulb, esophagus & nostrils [nearly] closed or unused.

British English – Small/Medium mouth bulb, esophagus relaxed, [nearly] closed or unused nostrils.

American English – Huge mouth bulb, esophagus may or may not be [nearly] closed, nostrils relaxed.

When German talk in English, they still stress/nearly close their esophagus & nostrils.
Relax the nostrils, try to talk via your esophagus/throat when communicating English. It'll take some time to get used to it but you'll understand why the British have that cadence, non-barking, in their pronunciation & speech.
Once you figured how that works with their phonetics pronunciation, in time you'll know how to mimic & infiltrate them.

You're not a daffodil cocksucker, you sound like one because you close your esophagus/throat and nostrils as if you're sucking on something (hence the lisp that Germans have when communicating in English).

Relax your esophagus and nostrils when talking & spelling English words & phrases. Nobody is shoving nothing.
