What dream jobs do you have/had?

That's a weird fucking job to pine after

Historian, Archeologist, anything of the sort. My dreams died when I found you don't go around raiding ancient pyramids like on Indiana Jones, but calculate the economical impact of the Roman Empire selling 5% less bananas for the year.

I know someone who became an archaeologist and he basically says that 90% of your time is spent inventorizing thousands of pottery (pic rel) and glass shards that are about 5cm in diameter, praying the people digging the sites don't snatch some of the valuables for themselves, dealing with seething priests that insist no pagan burials were ever done around his church, being denied permission to conduct research on someone's private land and if you do get permission, being heckled by ruraloids that are utterly terrified of you thinking you're scouting which houses to rob

Some type of explorer but alas we're in the goycattle phase of history

I also fantasized about it as a kid, sounded cozy as fuck
a lot of lighthouses were in pretty isolated places, supplies had to be brought in every once in a while, it wasn't uncommon for keepers to grow or catch their own food and just remain alone for months on end
if there was an occupational equivalent to the incelwalk, it would be lighthouse keeper, it's the ultimate "fuck off and leave me alone" job

Only autists would understand.

Garbage collector
>>
I always wanted to be a gunsmith
I recently became one but can't afford my own workshop and in general it doesn't pay good enough, so I continue working in a machine shop and only do gunsmithing as a side job
>>
>>219210987
What kind of incel wants to do the loneliest job on the planet?
>>
When I was a kid I wanted to be something like a fighter pilot or a soldier. Looking back, I cannot express how glad I am that didn't happen. A few months ago I ran into an old friend from high school who did join the army after we finished and he is fucked up now.

Here's a famous lighthouse from my state that was put out of commission in the 50's. The waters are so bad even people repairing the buoys have extreme difficulty.

>What dream jobs do you have/had?
Groundskeeper at a graveyard. I would unlock the gates in the morning and lock them in the evening, maybe sweep the paths. It would be nice and quiet and if anybody was loud, I could send them off the premises.

I wanted to be a writer. I became an IT guy.
It's not so bad, but it doesn't have the same appeal of writing books and stories that other people will read.
Maybe in ten years or so, when my kids are grown up, I'll go back to being a writer. But for now, it means doing boring shit every day until retirement.
No wonder you're a virgin who never goes outside then!
>>
>>219211573
That doesn't sound too difficult to find. You just have to keep an eye out for openings regularly.
>>
>>219210987
I wanted to drive a steam train, but unfortunately I was born too late.
>>
>>219211573

not as much as you think it would be.
at least back in the 2000s, emo kids would always sneak into graveyards at night and do degenerate stuff like drugs and fucking each other
zoomzooms might be less likely to do such things thoughever
>>
>>219211705
I'd call the police then. We've had satanists here in the early 2000s, and they were too dangerous to handle on your own. Mostly they killed small animals, but we've had one case where those kids actually murdered a mentally retarded person in a wheelchair for Satan.
>>

Reminds me of the two little girls here who attempted to murder their "friend" as a sacrifice to slender man.

a serial killer but same. born too late
>>
>>219211849
Oh yes, I remember the case. One of them was let loose a few years back, the other one was in the news a few months back because she had fled an institution that was apparently open. There was even a bodycam police video of her on Youtube - she had loitered at the back of a store with a friend and the people from the store had called the cops to check it out.

Still creepy. The victim girl would have died had she not been found by chance by a passer-by.
>>
>>219211573
I also thought about this
>>
Being a postman was the best job in the world
>pretty much no management, complete freedom to work as you wish
>turn up whenever you want (as long as it's morning-time)
>acceptable to wear shorts even in -3c and snow
>paid to walk around in the fresh air smoking cigarettes
>friendly chats with lonely old ladies
>the day finishes whenever you've delivered all your post, if you power-walk the whole route you can be at home drinking a cup of tea by 13.00
Unfortunately the pay was utter shit, I would go back to being a postie in a heartbeat otherwise

iirc there are still some light house keeper positions out there anon, but yes most are automated now. Another similar job is fire watch, look into that, I think it's a cool job.

M'y dream job is to not have a job

Are you handsome?
There are some rich old ladies that would take care of you but they are very rare. The easier way is to be gay for pay.
>>
>>219213107
No I just want to be rich without doing anything and spend my life enjoying my free time
>>
>>219213144
You have to become rich first, honestly if you are young enough it's some what attainable if everything goes right. 1 million in savings will allow you to retire early and live on an average income of 50k a year. If you find a woman with the exact same goals you can DINK it up and it'll be even easier.

Same, I don't dream of working. I dream of being disgustingly wealthy and sailing around on a yacht.
>>
>>219210987
As a kid I wanted to be an archeologist, before I understood the difference between that and a paleontologist. Then I realized I wanted to be the latter.
>>
>>219213107
>>219213308
I am incredibly handsome but I don't know how to attain this and I don't want to do gay things. Throughout my life I always did get free shit from girls even some girls used to give me money and so on but I felt weird about it, but I'm in the same boat I don't want to ever fucking work I hate working.
>>
I never had one. In high school when they asked me where I wanted to work I said GameStop. I can't even do this because I have no experience and the closest GS is never hiring lol.
>>
And what do you expect to do all day with no job? I think eventually you're gonna go insane
>>
>>219217008
I would only want to be disgustingly wealthy with no job.
Then I could do fun things like buy a vision jet and fly myself around the world.
Buy a yacht and sail around the world. That sort of thing.
If I wanted to work, I could start my own business and work as much or as little as I like.
