>>219269251No, but my dad loves ice fishing. I don't get any thrill out of fishing. Last time I was fishing with my dad I caught a rather big fish with a rod, and I was like wtf do I do with this so I gave it to dad and he bashed it with a club. I'll only go to fishing to spend time with dad.

If I have to go fishing, I prefer to do it from a boat or riverbank in the summer, which is also boring to me, but at least it’s comfortable and can be pretty.I have friends in the upper Midwestern states (Wisconsin and Minnesota) who do it, mostly as an excuse to spend a day drinking on a frozen lake. It’s a niche hobby, really only popular in a few regions (particularly the aforementioned upper Midwest, where one finds a lot of frozen lakes with ice thick enough to minimize the risk of falling through.
