Serious question: is this a black people thing? I've always thought saying "man" to somebody sounds a bit black. It just sounds very unnatural to call someone "man".
Can I get a propah anglo-saxon gentleman to enlighten me on his language?

as a white aryan anglo saxon with 1000% nordic genes in my blood i can assure you that uhhh

no really I've never thought saying "Hey man" was black, it seems more like a WASP thing the way "hey buddy" or "hey little man" does

do foreigners not understand context or something?

It is not. Bro is more of a black thing. I saw a black woman scold black kids for calling each other bro because “that’s ebonics”.
