>how many hours a day do you study?
Around 5 hours I guess. On weekends it's 10 hours and I cram 100 new things into my head. On weekdays I'm sticking to 50. I already know 1289 kanji so it's getting easier and I'm slowly making more time for conversation. I started 2 months ago, yes you can do this if you have enough time and are consistent. Also using AI to analyze sentences and roleplay helps a lot.

Oh nvm my kanji count is higher than 1300 because I didn't list the basic ones you'd learn at the beginning.
>but your Anki reviews will pile up
There's a trick to avoid that, yesterday it took me 2 hours to review all my cards but I made sure to reinforce my memory by putting all the words I struggled to remember into another text file, then I slowly went through them until they locked in. I use AI to search for words related to a certain concept in my file to strengthen my retention. Another cool trick you can try is backwards translation: write the expressions that you're learning in Italian and translate them to Japanese.

I'm not even kidding once you learn most kanji pronunciations learning new words is a cakewalk. Kanji are truly a godsend.

every computer has a built-in TTS. is there a way to use it to provide furigana rather than say things out loud?
>>
>>219301361
they would be if they didn't have like 4 readings each. I prefer to learn words
>>
>>219301556
Learn kanji, it's fun and rewarding to see your mind lock into so many words after subconsciously reading the word
>>
>>219301581
>I prefer to learn words
that's what I do anyways, most words have few readings
also reading in context makes the words stick instantly
>>
>>219301582
I want the furigana so that I can learn the kanji dude... learning standalone kanji is a nightmare due to multiple readings, if I instead had everything with furigana all the time it'd be so much easier
>>
>>219301626
i use google translate and AI to look up readings and never really used furigana

don't do that you'll lose your mind lol, just learn words as they come, when you will know the different pronunciations you will be able to read naturally components
