What is the /int/ equivalent?
>>
>>219303429
Never listened to any of these but just looking at the vibe of this picture I can guarantee that this would be the worst music that ever existed
>>
>>219303429
>/mu/core
>even using /mu/
how to spot a plebbian
>>
>>219304462
The King Crimson one is ok at best, but it's extremely overrated. by schizos
>>
>>219304555
Tried it, sounds generic, idk what's schizo about it
>>
>>219303429
Music is always changing, that was back when /mu/ was in its indie phase
>>
>>219304462
U wrong desu
>>
>>219304667
In what world is jazzy prog rock 'generic'?
>>
>>219303429
...Don stepped outside
>>
>>219304796
It sounds so
>>
>>219304725
Now it's just Beatles threads and Beatles haters.
>>
>>219304796
In the sense that it's cliche and predictable as fuck, only like 2 memorable songs in there.
>>
>>219304555
I mean it's a foundational album that heavily inspired a lot of stuff that came in the following years.
I wouldn't call it the greatest piece of music ever composed but calling it just ok at best seems like 4chud contrarianism to me.
>>219304667
Did you listen to the whole album or just the song titled "in the court of the crimson king"?
21st century schizoid man is the most famous one and my personal favourites are I talk to the wind and moonchild.
Anyway when it was released it was a shocking album due to the use of instrumental dissonance and heavily abstract lyrics.
>>
>>219304872
I opened the full album and skipped through the first song whatevrr it was, sounds generic so much that I dropped it, may be try to listen to it tomorrow at work
>>
It’s really weird to see King Crimson lumped in with all this alternative/indie rock shit.
>>
>>219304462
Pavel you fucking hate everything. Your most beloved pass time is watching paint dry and logging solar cycles.
>>
>>219304936
I listen to music I like all the tjme, even right now
>>
>>219304901
Get checked for deafness and/or learn what the word "generic" actually means.
>>
>>219303429
/int/ is normie lite, so stuff like Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Beach Boys, The Weeknd etc. You get the idea.
Tears For Fears for /brit/.
>>
>>219304947
Thats how it's supposed to be, don't listen to bs you don't like in order to create an image for yourself.
>>
>>219304985
Are you mad? It is generic. It's I dont know how yo express it in other words. Boring sounding and not intresting. Sounds like shit.
>>
>>219304872
i exaggerated a bit indeed, it's a good album and i used to listen to it all the time like 10 years ago, not my thing anymore
>>
For me, it's all them witches. When Jupiter will nuke the usa, i will ask him to spare nashville
>>
>>219305048
That's not what generic means, ESL.
Calling it generic implies that it sounds just like everything else and is not distinct or original. Find me any song released before the year 1969 that sounds like
https://youtu.be/-SkaPAPzxyo?list=RD-SkaPAPzxyo&t=175
>>
>>219305231
That's what I mean, it sounds like everything else it's not distinct nor original
>>
>>219304462
Remain in Light is good, as is Loveless.
>>
>>219303429
Haven't heard 2, 6 and 12. My favorite is 1 and the entire lower part aside from 7 and 12 which I haven't listened yet.

Objectively good:
- Kid A
- Spiderland
- Exmilitary
- American Football
The rest are meh or I don't care about.

You fucking retard. Seriously if you haven't even listened to "In the Aeroplane over the Sea" (it's a terrible album) but used this website for so long you deserve a punch in the throat.

isn't /mu/ kind of dead as a board? that pic is almost a decade old now, all those albums came out in 2016. this is evidence of a stuck culture
>>

What's wrong
>>
>>219304856
>>219306116
I just came back from /mu/ brah I haven't seen a single Beatles thread, not even a "Lennon beat his girlfriend" thread.
It's all k-pop and frogposting. Schizos rule the board. It's not dead it's on life-support. Sometimes there's an interesting thing and it's worth checking it out from time to time but there are days I don't even go there.
>>
>>219306116
every board on this site is dead

I am glad I got over my /mu/ phase
only decent ones there are In the Court of the Crimson King and Loveless if you are into shoegaze
that said, I don't regret it, you find some real gems hidden in the absurd mountains of pretensious slopcharts /mu/ makes

I stopped caring for it the moment kpop subhumans took over the board

Soooo much Death in June and not even the best BMSS releases ("Hidden in Plain Sight"? "Symbols of Great Power"?) Brother that's all homochud shit! You are legit a Russian or lost in the sauce.
That's what's wrong.
Holy shit there's even "Teachings and prayers from the roof of the world" nigga you listen to music that's fed to you in your YouTube algorithm. Not even YouTube Music it's from the YouTube frontpage...
>>
>>219306431
I put bmss there even though I haven't listened to it since my late teens and can't remember even one song, I put it there just as ninja tuna, magic man and some other stuff because empty slots irritated me

You can't talk about vtumors killing boards without mentioning their main victim: /jp/.
>>

I like the music I listen to. Most of it like death in June and siberian music I've been listening since I was 15
>>

>>progrock
>>predictable
Edgy zoomers busted their eardrums listening to faggots screaming at a mic and now can't tell the difference between musical notes. To them any song that doesn't have a faggot loudly screaming or absurd BPM sounds the same.
>>
>>219306735
Sad state of affairs.
The only album I've been consistently listening to since I was 15 in this chart is Dopethrone, it's the 100/100 album, no skip, every second is sacred. Shit I could have put American Football in this chart because it's a great album, but it hasn't quite changed my life as much as these did. Or Spiderland too. Kid-A I listened to when I was a wee lad.
All these albums I put because they totally changed my life in one way or another. I still come back to them fondly.
Maybe you should start with /mu/core to get a breath of fresh air.

thats how it was a decade+ ago are you telling me nothing changed?
has /mu/ fully stagnated?
>>
>>219307499
We're a bunch of shit-flinging retards I admit. But we will never be uncs, Pavel here is mentally 15.
>>
>>219307536
That's fucking grim, but based. I have no idea what the fuck this all means but it's legit.
Don't chud out though, stay grounded.
>>
>>219307542
/mu/core is just the golden age of the board.
It's decent, not very active but interesting sometimes. Now it's all RYM-core and algotourism, like I do myself.
Sometimes I strike gold, I discovered good contemporary stuff through /mu/
>>
>>219307722
Leader of that band turned from Siberian Punk to religious Orthodox Christian "rock" (I'm not sure how to call that style)

I'm a simple man, I listen to what I enjoy. Nowadays I'm back to early 2000s trance music and melodic/industrial death metal. Used to be big into atmoshperic depressive black metal (mostly Kalmankantaja) and atmospheric jungle drum and bass.

Sometimes the algo will smile upon me and give me shit like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcyDxo_4bMk
It literally took YouTube 1 minute to load it up the first time 'cause it must've been stuck on some dusty old backup drive that's never accessed.

>>219307378
Death Fetish slop is fantastic, especially on acid. BMSS is my favourite but Atlantean Blood and Edelweiss are great too.

Yeah it's alternative rock. It's been a thing since the 90s. Yeah it's alright.
>MLP YouTube channel logo
aughhhh

We had our punk band turned alt rock too. Pretty hardcore punk at the time, we never had "true" hard punk like skank beats and so on but these guys literally squatted commie blocks basements, until they sold out to the radio singing about ketchup and shit, that's less my jam... Had left-wing skinheads as bodyguards. A legendary band.

>Death Fetish slop is fantastic
My man! Though I discovered BMSS very early when they popped up back on Facebook with their very first releases. I was pretty disappointed with their poppy sound later on, and by that time I had stopped doing drugs and that's also when I discovered Death Fetish. For instance I can't into Edelweiss, but I dig the concept.
>>
>>219308543
>we never had "true" hard punk like skank beats and so on
What the fuck am I talking about. Of course we did, it just stayed underground for a very long time. I stumbled upon an early Napalm Death clone from France once, literally the album Scum but released a year after or something.
We had really hard shit but it's so obscure now I'm not sure I'd find it so easily on the web. And it's not very noteworthy.
