All of these get converted to a short u when you convert to "caveman speak" (e.g. actual phonics) because that's what the sound is, a short u. It may be a particular sort of short u but it falls within the natural range of short u.
Why don't Germans and other submissive Euros stop larping with umlauts and intentionally misprounouncing English words to try to shoehorn in umlaut sounds where they never belonged?
