I know I could google this but I want to talk to real people. Is it or is it not acceptable to refer to men and women as "males" and "females" in english? In french you would never ever use these terms when referring to people. You say "female" or "male" when talking about animals. In english a lot of people use these words to refer to people, even though every now and then someone will flip out saying it's incorrect.
>>219310162It is not acceptable
>>219310162It's too clinical to be used in common parlance, mais blacks often colloquially refer to women as "females"
>>219310162afaik It's normal when you use it with a noun, for example; my female friend, my female co-workers, etc.Not to address them directly.
