Westerners all like Shu, Asians all like Wei. Cringelords on both like Wu.

What causes this split?
>>
>ching chong chang

Annoyed me how much the narrator was glazing Shu and I got negatively polarized into supporting Wei. In Mitsuteru Yokoyama Sangokushi anyway
>>

Because the author of Romance of the Three Kingdoms was a huge Shu-aboo.
>>
>>219327069
The novel was very biased. It literally just keeps showing Cao Cao losing, and all of a sudden he wins everything at the end.

I recently read that what was the Shu region has the highest birthrates in China in the present day. It's probably due to Zhuge Liang reforms and their impact on the region to this day.

he had op spawn, his realm was core china with more population than the other two combined
shu and wu were basically frontier realms at that time

The novel was written by a Confucian cuck. Cow Cow was a legalist chad.

The novel was very obviously mocking Liu Bei and co's hypocrisy.

How do they expect us to believe that medieval chinks could grow beards?

Every Asian I met liked Shu and especially Kongming.

I don't know how it is with other Westerners but for me it seems like Liu Bei could have made a better choice than his son to succeed him.

Wu have nothing going for them imo. Very forgettable characters.

Leaves Wei as the chad choice

The original Chinese Three Kingdoms novel was like an Avengers movie where Shu is the hero and Wei is the villain.
>>
>>219333146
People also call the Ming Dynasty "Ancient" China for some reason.

Chinese pipo also mostly think Qin Shi Huang was terrible but Westerners have a much more favorable opinion of him. It has to do with reading the translations vs reading commentaries in Asian languages plus cultural differences I suppose.
