How do I make the intrusive thoughts go away?
>>
Masturbation
>>
What thoughts exactly
>>
They are only intrusive because you aren't dealing with them

I have intrusive thoughts about things around me being dirty and me needing to clean and disinfect them to avoid becoming dirty myself.

Technically you shouldn't deal with them
It's just his brain exaggerating and making up shit, he shouldn't give it slack

This feels like a case of OCD. Depending on how bad it is, I would either suggest medical help or just picking up the sanitizer and getting to work.

Big cup of black coffee and a snus
or
Big monster energy drink and a nicotine pouch if you're a zoomer

consume twice daily

You process them one by one.
1. Succinctly formulate them with 100% unbridled honesty
2 Rationalize them and identify what’s causing them.
3. Formulate a set of instructions to tackle the issue or postpone the solution until a good option arises or you learn a skill that will resolve it.
Remember, your brain isn’t stupid, there is a reason for every thought that pops in your head that you must learn to interpret correctly and not ignore them and end up with a clutter of accumulated unprocessed thoughts.
Amygdala sends warning signals and it’s the prefrontal cortex’s job to analyze them and generate a solution.

I suppose if you can get into this mindset, and trivialize your intrusive thoughts enough that you genuinely believe they're worthless, then it's a good solution
At least for me it doesn't work and I have no choice but to confront in the end

And if a thought is irrational btw, you should acknowledge that too.
In my case most of irrational thoughts were caused by dysfunctional mindsets that I grew up being surrounded by that I figured I needed to actively debunk and reject.

Assuming they are a symptom of lacking neurotransmitters here...
"Exciting" thoughts is a subconcious compensation causing a release of adrenalin. Adrenalin can stimulate at least one type of receptors for dopamin (D2).
Evolutionary it serves the purpose of enabling to find nutrition and fibers to support a healthy gut microbiome again. It's literally "instincts" getting a hold of you.

Dr. Terry Wahl has developed an easy diet that might work for you, called The Wahl's Protocol (see her YouTube channel).
