I thought that white firsties deep down thought about "those white guys down there" and how that might be rare, but generally very much understood as not only possible but evident, since the real population boom driven in the new world was mainly due to whites migrating.I thought about mutual respect in that regard, and that simply stating my color would remove any misunderstanding in our online interactions and it did clear (ha! get it?) a lot of it up - before ~2015. After that I've been noticing the concept of lumping all regions of Brazil as the same, and then lumping all the countries of South America as the same, and then lumping the entire of thr global south as the same. And that's when I internalized that no, having full european blood will not make me white in firsties eyes. I am rejected by my own race outside of this country, as they see me as the blackest indio. And I am rejected by my own country today because of the whole DEI initiatives and the fact that they see me as the whitest white colonizer aka 'The Greater Enemy'. And it didn't bother me. But the gratuituous, unwarranted insults and forcible divide made me realize: I am not a color of a body part. I am just another soul on this planet and I am dignified for what I've done and who I am. My values and my efforts. The fact is that I am superior for understanding each person anywhere has their own story and capacity and it's not due to color.
