I'm half Japanese and lived in both countries. Dating is 10 times easier in Italy compared to Japan. I've only had 2 Japanese gfs, while in Italy you just have to hang out with friends, meet girls and things just happen if the interest is mutual. In Japan you have to be more direct, show the girl you have a job and you're good looking enough, have good manners etc, especially if you're 27 and not under 22. I agree with you on the job market and I currently live and work in Japan but mostly because it's less stressful compared to here in Italy. Wages are also significantly lower in Japan, but rent and most things are cheaper so in the end the material quality of life is equal.
