Sending firefighting airplanes from Italy to Sweden might work but it is not ideal. The same with trade, Hungarian sourkraut is not that much better than nordic but it increases trade which is good for... perhaps the bank? Some line goes up and (((they))) feel good about themselves.Modern society is inhumane enough and more distant (culturally, geographically) powers doesn't make better powers. Regional EU is less problematic by every metric I'd wager.
