When it broke down, a short developed between the output and the ground signals, which pulled too much current from the outlet.Because I used a special technique to supply the special power supply (I have the outlet supplying 230V like usual but then I tapped the signal in the middle to get 115V so I could use smaller sized and cheaper componentes) it caused an imbalance in the load when it shorted.The varistor I put inf ront of the power supply did his job of protecting the circuit, by causing a spike in voltage and making the fuse blow up.So, one resistor, one varistor and one fuse burned, and I hope that was the only thing.Lesson learned - don't leave a single resistor taking care of the whole current load and don't invent special shutoff sicrcuit, just buy a 1€ relay and use it.
