Why is it so fucking hard for foreigners ( and those americans enamored with and brsinwashed by foreign values ) to understand the American view on freedom? I saw a post where a guy was saying his grandfather used to be able to drive his truck on the beach and fish without a permit.

All the responses were something to the effect of "its good to limit personal freedom/lawlessness for the greater good", that's all fine and dandy if you want that in your own communist coutnry, but why do it here? Yeah, we may accidentally pop someones head with our tire or overfish a lake. That's a risk we're willing to accept for the benefit of getting to DO what WE WANT.
