Have any of you guys ever learned or attempted to learn a "useless" language? Why did you do it? Do you regret it?

Yes, German
Because muh heritage
No regrets

I was required to take a language in highschool. Choices were: French, German, and Spanish.
I was semi-chuddy at the time so Spanish was out of the question. And German? Can't get more based and Prussianpilled than that. I took German in highschool and first 2 years of undergrad.
I never use it and forgot almost all of it, but I made some great friends and had a great time with it so I don't regret it. And no I'm not a chud anymore, thank science.

All the languages i know are useless

Yes, French.
I chose it because it's the foreign language I chose in high school. My choices were Latin, French, Spanish, German, and Japanese. I already knew Spanish. Latin and German were for chuddy Romeaboos and Wehrboos. Even though I was a weeb, I didn't want to hang out with the other weebs in Japanese class. So that left French.
I sorta regret it, because I never got any use out of it. That would require me to speak to the Fr*nch, but it was good mental exercise.

I once learned some of the game of thrones language on Duolingo accidently.
I saw the dragon and thought it was a cool language from Bhutan or Tibet or something.
When I found out it was a dumb fake language for soyboy got fans I gagged and uninstalled Duolingo.

A good textbook for Classical Tibetan, the kind used in Vajrayāna Buddhist and Bon texts, is the 2022 Routledge "A Textbook in Classical Tibetan" by Joanna Bialek, it contains all of the foundational knowledge of the language and further information can be found in other more specialised books if needed. The prestige spoken varieties Dzongkha and Lhasan of Bhutan and Tibet respectively can be easily learned after Classical since the primary difference is simpler grammar and different pronunciation from Classical
