Most of the world had the concept of "tribes".
Do you know for certain what tribe you came from?
Who's tribal lands do you inhabit now?
>>
only a rootless mystery-meat yank posts such nonsense

I'm 3/4 Swabian and 1/4 Frisian, both of which are part of what is called Germany these days.

I always find it hilarious to see white Australians wearing random "tribal" tattoos like the Wegvisar, which is a traditional icelandic symbol, even though they don't even know their own ancestry kek. These mutts here really do be thinking all white people are the same.

In the new world, yes. Growing up in Southern Germany my village had a distinctive Swabian identity and it was known that I'm "only" 3/4 swabian because my grandma, the Frisian, had moved there from one of the islands of Germany in his twenties. It was really looked down upon to speak any other language than Swabian German that he never taught me or my dad Frisian, sadly.
>>
I know the village of my great-great-great-great-grandparents

They were incestuous breton farmers and not part of any tribe
>>
>Do you know for certain what tribe you came from
None because I'm not a subhuman primate who thinks your identity is a matter of genetics

we have yehuda and lavi tribe in israel to this day and some other tribal identities which remain in people's last names that are associated with specific tribes or pieces of the country

According to legend the progenitor of my family was an ottoman rapebaby who got baptized because his mother ran away with him from her abusive ass babydaddy. So depending on how far you go my tribe would probably be a turkic one if you only took male ancestors into account.

The anthropological grouping known as "tribe" is an archaic social construct that has no place in the 21st century.

Melungeons have different clans/pockets. Idk if that's the same.

Salian Franks and northern gaulish tribes like the Nervii and Menapii
and to a lesser degree saxons, frisians and atrebates
>>

Swabian is just the name of the region. Reality is that most 'Swabians' are only like 20% descended from the actual tribes.
They are mostly descended of old celtic tribes (near the old celtic heartland) and a mix of germanic tribes

I can trace ancestry to the four corners of France up to the late 1800s. Before that it's still a millenium of people moving around and shit happening. Just because my grampas family were living in some tribe location doesn't mean they've been living there for centuries.
>>
>>219791891
No and no, because the Romans, thank God unironically wiped out tribalism in these lands even if some fools think it was "cool" and want it back.
>>
>>219791891
We don't do that
>>
>>219791891
idk my ancestores destroyed tribes about 1000 years ago in Engerland and even longer ago in Italy so I don't belong to any
>Who's tribal lands do you inhabit now?

>>
My ancestors came from troy (southern Italians, so, Greeks of the east and Greeks most likely)

Well, according to records, one side is Brahmin (which all of you here probably know more than any tribe mentioned here lol) and the other side is Ahir which is a pastoral tribe that claim descent from Krishna(?). Both from Uttar Pradesh

>Who's tribal lands do you inhabit now?
Don't know, don't care. Only the native Fijians care. We don't do any cucked shit like land acknowledgements or whatever. I just know tribes are called Yavusa.

Recently more and more people especially women have started to call me gigner and sometimes Irish only because of my red facial hair (my hair and eyebrows are dark brown)
yet according to this map only my dad's side of the family is barely within the historic celtic lands
