I was visiting London for about two weeks this past Summer at the tail end of my trip, and was staying at a hostel. I met this other British guy from somewhere North (Shoshirirshire or something like that), and we got a group together and went out, and met this Australian guy who joined us at our table. The Brit was saying how on the news the USA looks like things are going terribly there. Then this Australian guy who was at our table chatting with us said that he lived in the USA for two years, and now has been living in the UK for about a year, and he said that the USA is definitely doing better than the UK, and that he was genuinely worried about the future of the UK.Here's the thing though. I don't see that decline anywhere in the UK. London was quaint, and clean, and the people who lived there seemed happy. The UK has great welfare programs, and good jobs. So, when people talk about the "decline" of the UK, what exactly are they saying is worse, specifically? Because from my perspective, it was still a very nice country. Is it just people whining about brown people existing?
>>219813242>met this other British guyDid you two frot?
>>219813242Try to live there for a few years.> London was quaint, and clean, and the peopleAre you sure you were in London?
London is far wealthier than the rest of the country, of course the cracks won't be as visible there
>>219813613A bit. I suppose "other" wasn't the right word to use there because I am Amerifatian.>>219813622I was staying in Notting Hill. There were a lot of browns there, and some niggers who wore balaclavas everywhere for some reason, but the place itself was cute and clean (ish).
>>219813749>A bitHOTOT
its still a very nice country by world standardbut its a little poorer for the avarage joe than it was say 30years ago
>>219813774I didn't actually, I ain't gay
>>219813842You aren't gay. But you did.
>>219813242There are definitely real, structural issues going on in Britain, but London escapes the brunt of it and continues to be a very high QOL city.
>>219813749you saw NIGGERS in balaclavas in the wealthy capital of England and that didn't register as a sign of decline? bro America is COOKED
>>219813242It's over mate
>>219813936I mean the browning of London was definitely something I noticed, but it seems that the areas that are still White are nice, and British people can just move to anywhere outside of London and live in 90% White areas if they are so inclined.
>>219813961Not a real answer. That doesn't mean anything. The UK is fine. A bit expensive. Noticeably getting browner. But still a very nice country.
>>219814100The real answer is everything gets more expensive each year yet salaries haven't changed
>>219814081>I mean the browning of London was definitely something I noticeddid you also notice how those areas are garbage dumps
>>219814121That's everywhere though. It isn't a UK problem specifically. Like, I make 75k, and still have to spend 33% of my net income on rent, and still have a roommate. Groceries are $300/mo here. Etc etc.
>>219814172The areas weren't specifically worse in regard to the infrastructure, cleanliness, and architecture, but you don't feel safe because niggers and browns all want to LARP as gangsters for some reason. Also, most areas of London have a lot of browns now, and London is still quite safe to my understanding. The worst that happens is that some horde of browns are protesting about some shit that happened in their shithole homelands every day in front of Parliament, but that is avoidable.
>>219813936lol
>>219814174The average salary here is something like 50k USD
>>219814172Still probably miles better than the ghettos we have here
>>219814290But you have free healthcare, rent assistance, cheap college, cheap public transit etc etc.
>>219814398>rent assistance???
>>219814344100% they are. The difference is that our ghettos were specifically made to contain blacks, and be underfunded, whereas the UK areas that are brown now were normal White areas until the last decade so they were not created as containment zones to be underfunded.
>>219814415A Brit I talked to on here said your government gives him a few hundred pounds a month to assist in his rent. Also don't you have those "council homes" AKA social housing? The best rental assistance you can get in NYC is a $450 tax credit.
>>219814081If they do that their paycheck also reduces by 90%
>>219814471He must be on universal credit or something, aka a povvo. The UK is a terrible place if you're in the middle, great if you're poor or rich though.
>>219814471And that's $450 annually to be clear.
>>219814232>London is still quite safe to my understanding
>>219814479>If they do that their paycheck also reduces by 90%I really doubt that. Don't they have lots of other nice cities like Manchester, or Bristol and shit? I'm sure money is fine there. Probably much cheaper rents there too.
>>219814537Am I wrong? You don't really FEEL safe when niggers are walking the streets in balaclavas, but I never actually witnessed any attacks or robberies or vandalism.
>>219814537London is safer than the vast majority of cities in the US unironically
>>219814500>great if you're poor or rich though.Again that's the same in lots of countries, it isn't a UK specific issue.
>>219814585Also this
>>219814585how unsafe is the US
>>219814569>Am I wrong?Yes
>>219814537It is objectively one of the safest cities in Britain.
>>219814634It actually isn't in most areas, like most of our statistics, it is due to blacks. If you don't live around them, you'll be fine. NYC is very safe, except for Harlem, the Bronx, and deep into Brooklyn AKA where places are Black majority.
>>219813242the internet loves amplifying negativity
>>219814655There's no way 18800 people get stabbed annually in London.
>>219814538Its not 90%, but its rare to earn more than 50k outside of london or the home counties.
>>219814700Right, but my point was the Australian guy lived in both the USA and UK, and said he 100% noticed the decline of the UK, but he didn't elaborate on what specifically he meant.
>>219814432>The difference is that our ghettos were specifically made to contain blacksThat’s only the projects, and even then many were mass-constructed for white WW2 servicemen returning home. You really think Harlem and the Bronx were majority black all the way back in 1776?
>>219814682Should also be noted that just like in yurop, crime has been declining for decades.Still kinda funny that even your huwhitest, wealthiest states are still more dangerous than basically all of Europe.
>>219814734That's 60k USD, which is lower-middle to solidly middle-class depending on expenses, which is fine.
>>219814712https://www.eufy.com/uk/blogs/security-camera/city-with-most-stabbings-ukIts "only" 16800
>>219814755Bro "Urban Restoration", and redlining was SPECIFICALLY designed to segregate our cities, and keep Black people contained. Of course in 1776 cities weren't Black, but I mean once Blacks started moving to cities, they were designed from that point on as containment zones to be underfunded. That is the difference between our minority areas and the ones in the UK.
>>219814712Of course not, "knife crime" is quite literally a category invented by the media and then adopted by the police in order to justify increasing surveillance and intervention that includes a whole host of largely harmless actions.
>>219814787>Its "only" 16800Jesus Christ, that's over 5x the amount in NYC. I don't get that, because again I never witnessed much crime when I was exploring the city.
>>219814859Oh, I see. So like, if someone just has a blade then they'll be charged and it'll add to that stat?>>219814770Again, please see: >>219814682
>>219813242Ask why it's illegal for a 17 year old to buy a fork.
>>219814902>Oh, I see. So like, if someone just has a blade then they'll be charged and it'll add to that stat?Yeah. There are some states that are "whiter" than many European countries, yet have more murders, how do you explain that?
>>219814081>sure we're being pushed out of our historical population centers and forced to move further and further into the countryside in order to escape violent stabby brownoids and blacks, but just keep moving bro and you'll be fine! wheres the decline??So you're genuinely just dumb then?
>>219814746What it means:>wages stagnant since 2008, get inflated away more and more>housing gets more expensive for smaller, worse houses, not feasible for most young people to buy a house in their lifetime>government does nothing, no investments anywhere, infrastrucure is decaying, councils are going bankrupt>the country gets noticably less white year over year, most recently with the boris wave>immigrants behave like uncivilized animals, public servants (police, politicans, teachers, etc.) are afraid of calling it out due to accusations of racism. Crime, parralel societies, and worsening school behavior and results are left to fester and make life worse for everyone
>>219814994Don't forget tax on taxes and license on licenses. Like when they have to sell the house/apartment they inherit because of the inheritance tax and many else. Also they literally jail people for internet posts.
>>219814966>There are some states that are "whiter" than many European countries, yet have more murders, how do you explain that?I don't get what you mean? Also, I know we have more crime, even when factoring in just Whites, but my point was that people exaggerate the "unsafeness" of the USA, even in cities.
>>219814867If you get to know any locals in a british shithole city, I guarantee you they can tell you about some stabbing that they either witnessed themselves, or that happened near their immediate surroundings
>>219814982I'm not saying they shouldn't try to fix it. But my point is that until they have a real government in power, the best they can do is look out for themselves. Why subject yourself to brown criminals when you can't do anything about it until a new government is in power?
>>219815057Income taxes are actually pretty lax there compared to other euro countries. They do have a bunch of extra taxes and licenses, like the sugar tax or the famous telly loicense
>>219814994Yes, but again, this is true of many other countries, and definitely the USA. But the Aussie was adamant that the USA was doing better than the UK, and I don't see why he felt that. I should've asked where I lived maybe. I guess our economy is still growing, but our wages aren't increasing proportionally either.
>>219815185Yeah, it looks like at 50k pounds you only pay 21% in tax which is about the same as here.
that dude still filming party sluts at night? dang those bitches look skanky as shit, I would fcuk anyways
>>219815214Cant speak for america, but compared to other euro countries, the UK is uniquely grim. Everywhere else has some combination of those maladies, but usually some less than others, and some aspects are still doing or are even improving. For example, here we do have lots of immigrants just like britain, but a considerable part of ours are eastern and southern euros that eventually assimilate, compared to britain where its 100% blacks and browns nowadays that never will. Or spain and france, who get fancy high speed trains, whereas britain has spent billions of pounds and over a decade of time on a london-birmingham express that is nowhere near finished. In the UK, all the issues everyone else is facing are turned up to 11 with no exceptions. There isnt a single thing that is currently improving there, not a single thread of optimism to hold onto. No matter what you care about or what your values are, you wont find anything on that accursed isoand that'll give you hope for a better future.
>>219813242>So, when people talk about the "decline" of the UK, what exactly are they saying is worse, specifically?it's important to recognise that people are absolutely 100% overexaggerating it online although things are quite bad and aren't going to get better for at least another generationmost of the current resentment comes from the fact that labour haven't really done anything for young people despite feeling that we got them into power (we didn't everyone was just sick of the previous government) and you're only hearing the opinions of these young people, britain is a lovely place to be if you're retired or whateverpeople under 30 have been a disenfranchised voting block for the past twenty years or so, it's simply too safe to appeal to voters in the 40+ age group; everything you hear about a police state or online censorship is supported by the majority of brits (read: boomers) which is why they're doing it
>>219813242>London was quaint, and cleanKek. I was there two years ago and the first evening I was there sitting at a restaurant and saw four hooded youths pull uo and start stealing e-bukes with electric saws. The owners of the bike ran out but couldn't do anything and the thieves got away. All this just outside the window as I was waiting for my meal. Also the UK has higher unemployment than Italy now and huge parts of London are legitimately unrecognizably Pakistani.Arabs dont send their kids to study in the UK anymore because they fear they will be indoctrinated into radical Islam.
>>219815552will you vote for Rupert? do you think he has a chance to change things?
>>219813242London was so great in the late 90's/early 00's and has never recovered
>>219813242You will only get vague empty statements or outright flagrant falsehoods, and nothing more
>>219813749Bait. Nottinghill carnival has lots of blacks but blacks dont live there
>>219816596I mean I saw them man. Maybe they don't live there, but they were certainly hanging out there at the very least.
>>219813242I mean both countries still have some areas that are nice and some areas that are utter shit. It's kind of hard to compare them anecdotally when you're only experiencing certain areas under certain circumstances. If the Aussie had a good job in a good part of the US for two years then yeah I can definitely imagine it would be better than present day US. But the US has some deep running pockets of systemic poverty which are probably overall worse than the UK, not to mention the people are far more retarded and whatever you want to say about the UK political system being broken it's still 10000x worse in the US where they're clearly sabotaging their future hard right now.
>>219816871>If the Aussie had a good job in a good part of the US for two years then yeah I can definitely imagine it would be better than present day US*present day UK, not present day US
>>219816611Yeah your full of shit
>>219815552>everything you hear about a police state or online censorship is supported by the majority of brits (read: boomers) which is why they're doing itIronically its more young people that support it because boomers remember a time of freedom where as young people genuinely think racism is the worst crime in existence and diversity is our strength
>>219813242How would you expect to see a decline if you have nothing to compare it to? Are you stupid?
>>219813242London is effectively a separate country to the rest of the UK. There are some nice places left but it really is declining in every way. I saw some photos of the main street in my city on Facebook from the 90s and almost wept, it was so much neater, cleaner, orderly and just civilised. It was near 100% white.
>>219813242
>>219816871Shartmerican culture and politics is shite, but materially they're doing way better than bongs. In some ways, they're even doing better than us>inb4 it's only the rich that live well in the USnah, even the middle class there lives very lavishly + their taxes are lower (depending on where you live). America would genuinely be a dream to live if its politics weren't retarded and they didn't have to subsidise 45 million useless blacks.
>>219813242Only retards think the US is doing poorly, exclude niggers from statistics and the US is top5 in the world in pretty much everything
>>219814174>$300/mo>at 75k incomeoh the horror
>>219817645>but materially they're doing way better than bongs. In some ways, they're even doing better than usliterally how have you come to this conclusion. Because they have more billionaires?>even the middle class there lives very lavishlyBeing able to buy huge mcmansions in the middle of nowhere with hours long work commutes is not living lavishly. You can do that here too, it's just that more people don't want to.
>>219817907>ignore the bad parts of the US and suddenly they aren't so bad
>>219818232just dont live in the parts with niggers, problem solved
>>219817006>young people genuinely think racism is the worst crime in existence and diversity is our strengthWaitaminute I thought you blokes won the wars
>>219818296Every country has an underclass, you could easily say "oh just remove the poorest 20% of Poland an we'd be western Europe tier" based off the stats (but even if you could do that it wouldn't work out like you think)
>>219815516Germany was the worst country I've visited bro. It was straight up the only European country that was objectively worse than the USA and that's really saying something.
>>219818220Because Americans literally make more money and pay less in taxes than us? The only reason it balances it out is due to our own government services (like healthcare), but even those are becoming progressively shittier and shitter every year. Also >thinks Australia doesn't have a commuter/mcmmansion cultureYou are a retard and I hope you don't produce any children in the future.
>>219813622>> London was quaint, and clean, and the peopleIt really is in comparison to American cities
>>219814585>vast majorityAll of them
>>219816975Sorry bro, it's the truth. Every time I would walk past this little area near my hostel, I'd see some niggers in balaclavas hanging around
