if their economy has been stagnant for the past ~30 years, why is their standard of living still so much better than anywhere else?
>>
>>219813822
It's also like "line needs to go up" isn't true, and only the finance class (overwhelmingly Jewish) says that's the case because of their insatiable greed.

infrastructure projects are getting cut, maintence too. Many transit and bus lines got cut. Salaries have stagnated while inflation has been eating into it.

>>219813903
Or you're just illiterate.

Inflation in Japan has ONLY started recently. For most of those 30 years prices were stable. Cvoid-19 caused those issues, not stagnation itself.

That happens where the line does go up too.
>>
>>219813822
I mean they went from being the 3rd richest country in the word to being in the 39th position... that's below Spain
>>
>>219814488
is the standard of living in spain better than in japan?
>>
>>219814581
Yes. Spaniards don't even work, they just have siesta all day. Meanwhile, Japanese work 12 hour days every day of the week until karoshi and STILL fall below Spain
>>
>>219814581
A Japanese guy told me that the other day so maybe.
They also work like slaves in Japan, what stardard of living can you have when all you do is working for a shitty salary... we also have shitty salaries in Spain but I'd say work/life balance is significantly better

Inflation was bound to happen when you're as reliant on imports as Japan. With Russia and Iran threatening the petrodollar and about 70% of their oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz they're naturally going to make cuts on QoL. I think we're far past the point of seeing this as a labor issue, their cities are brand new in comparison to most of the world, I'd imagine they want to scale back their population to level out with imports rather than immigrate people in.
>>
>>219813957
Also their population decline is finally hitting them. They’ve been able to get away with it with their average long lifespans. Same with other developed countries. But you can only stretch that piece of thread holding everything for so long until it rips.
>>
>>219814683
aren't you guys undergoing a massive civil crisis right now with free citizenship being given to random immigrants or something
>>
>>219813822
It would seem to follow that their capital doesn't depreciate quite as fast since they take care of shit extremely well
>>
>>219813822
Because they were able to build up wealth while the line was going up, buffering the effects of stagnation. Countries like Malaysia and Thailand are going to be more worrisome with their inevitable stagnation.
>>

>They also work like slaves in Japan
Turns out having constant anti-labour propaganda by the Japanese government, business sector and the Americans has fucked them over. Granted I don't think they are as bad as the US since Japan does have a sizable % of the population that is unionized and has mad progress but a lot of the major sectors basically have no way to push back at all.
>>
>>219814373
The stagflation has been a thing for 30 years straight. It's why Japanese salaries are trailing behind so many other states in the same field.
>>
>>219815970
% of unionization doesn't mean anything if they're token corporate unions like Japan's. Any union job in the US has better benefits than the ones in Japan substantially, basically all the sectors that matter. Financebros don't have a union, techbros don't have a union, they just have hedgefunds and banks. In almost every way that matters Japan has worse unions than the US.
>>
>>219813822
Because economy is a pseudoscience.

only the salary part is true. unless you're talking about literally the middle of nowhere.
