With Russia and Iran threatening the petrodollar and about 70% of their oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz they're naturally going to make cuts on QoL. I think we're far past the point of seeing this as a labor issue, their cities are brand new in comparison to most of the world, I'd imagine they want to scale back their population to level out with imports rather than immigrate people in.
