The reconquista was when Spain and Portugal defeated the muslim empire after they had been invaded and controlled by them for centuries. The implication as always is that immigrants are invaders and that people who migrate peacefully and legally to a country are comparable to people who subdue the local population and take a country ilegally by force.

I'm not saying that tugas should take in immigrants. Idc what they do with their country, but its crazy for the members of a country who did invade other countries to call other people invaders.
