X/XI century frescoes from Kingdom of Makuria (current sudan) that existed for 1200 years, was a normal Christian kingdom and muzshits destroyed it and made it revert back to stone age.
Do you find it suprising? That until islam some places in africa could be considered normal medieval places with cathedrals and all?
