Why do meds hate their own women so much?
>>219823312They were sleeping and didn't realize everyone was doing women's suffrage
>>219823312Better ask instead what Swiss knew that the others did not. Did you know that there's to this day a mandatory male-only conscription in Switzerland and the men who did not serve have to pay an extra tax?
>>219823348we've had similar proposals but tax breaks for those who served
>>219823359That's not a proposal but a reality for Swiss. I guarantee though that there will never be any conscript tax breaks in Pooland because your politicians understand you are the cannon fodder, if every goddamn conscript received a tax-break the government would collapse. Slaves have to be cheap
>>219823312The irony is, men didn't have complete suffrage until 1918 here either. (And it's widely believed the government only granted it because they were afraid of a veterans' revolt). So in WWI they couldn't really play on freedom themes because Germany was more progressive and democratic than this country was.
>>219823348>he men who did not serve have to pay an extra taxfag tax! lol!
>>219823348Switzerland is a weird place in general. Lots of shady shit goes on there. They are where the Templars settled. Their cross is the Masonic cross.
>>219823312w*men are dirt beneath my feet

>>219823442Is that >>219823411 you?
>>219823463pay your fag tax!
>>219823399Everyone was a peasant serf until the 1960s at earliest.

>>219823312>new whiteness map
>>219823399Same in Norway, we are one of the first ones to grant women voting rights in 1907, but they never mention the fact that universal voting rights for men wasn't implemented until 1898, just a 9 year difference.
>>219823520And we still are
>>219823348It's pretty misleading, Switzerland has more autonomous rule for their districts and one specific area of about ~40 000 citizens (IIRC) didn't give women voting rights until 1971. The rest of Switzerland had implemented it long ago, but it technically wasn't universal until that one small district followed suit.Another fun fact is Lichtenstein (the one that's 1984) didn't specifically ban women from voting, but the problem was that the law required every voting citizen to bring their sword when voting and women didn't own swords, so they could not cast a vote as a result. Also that small village in Switzerland where they did voting by gathering in the town square and show of hands, but the square was too small to house both men and women so women could not really vote simply because they could not fit into the square while the men were there.
>>219824214>the square was too small to house both men and women so women could not really vote simply because they could not fit into the square while the men were there.Kind of sounds like bullshit desu
>>219824272Apparently there's two cantons that still do a physical show of hands, don't know if this is the exact town I was talking about but I'm positive it's a real story.Cantons can be really weird as a result of them having so much autonomy compared to most other country's districts
>>219823312bleak year, 1918
>>219824638Swiss are really lucky that they got spawned in one of the best spots in the world. Their retardation wouldn't lead to comfy existence if they were in Central Asia, SEA or the Middle East.
>>219823312we have elected a woman president, right-wing, but still a woman
>>219823312Based Switzerland
cyprus gained its independence from britbongs just that year so the map is a little disingenuousas for greece, we decriminalized homosexuality before we allowed women to vote i think but i think the very first female minister was elected not too long after that
