Literally not even the sameSpanish empire was a semi-feudal tributary system, basically patches of land somewhat united by loyalty to the King, whereas USSR / Yugoslavia were nation-state , ie centralized authority s a matter of fact USSR was on the process of becoming even a superior form of organization, its collapse was more catastrophic because of this, ie the fact that this superior form of organization was aborted, whereas spanish empire was already obsolete by the late XVIIIth century
