nothing wrong with liking japanese culture. Its just that some people treat it like a brand, like to them the japanese version of literally anything, even if its mediocre or even worse in quality than its gaijin counterpart, always belongs on a pedestal. I worked with a girl who regularly ordered these candies from japan, but then I found out you could literally find them in the US, the same brand with the same ingredients, just that the label was in english instead. I had to talk her out of buying salt from Japan too, not some special salt mined from an ancient japanese holy mountain, I mean regular table salt made the same way it is in America, just with a japanese label
