Waffle house mention

We have literally thousands of hipsterite waffle joints. But, based on the AI summary, it seems Waffle Haus = mediocre cheapish slop. Our version of that is the ubiquitous "Mamak" restaurants. Mamak is what Malaysians call Indian Muslims and they have a stranglehold on south Indian style restaurants in Malaysia. Every housing area will have at least one and often there are 3-4 mamak restaurants next to each other. While many have cleaned up and upgraded to hipsterish 'bistros", there are still many grimy and dimly lit mamak restaurants around. These get on the news from time to time for food poisoning or health violations. The Mamak restaurants are an institution in Malaysia. It's our version of the neighbourhood pub (no alcohol though) and many are open 24 hours, 365 days a year.
