I'm Russian and in 2024 I visited India for a work trip. I'm eating pizza right not so I remembered this incident. We went to an Italian restaurant with coworkers and I ordered a lamb bolognese and I also wanted a light pizza with it and ordered a margherita. When I was ordering, this interaction with the Indian waiter happened
>sir this pizza is without toppings, what would you like to add?
What do you mean without toppings?
>sir this pizza doesn't have anything on it, so you need to add extra toppings
What do you mean doesn't have anything?
>sir this pizza doesn't have anything
Does it have sauce? Cheese?
>yes sir and basil but nothing else
Yeah that's a margherita pizza, that's what I want
>sir you don't understand
>it doesn't have anything

The interaction continued like that for a bit more and I ended up ordering a margherita pizza "with nothing on it", the waiter said something along the lines of I warned you sir. And brought me a normal margherita like I wanted. What was his problem? Internationally speaking

What a powerful, powerful wet dream!
>>
>>219849338
most indians probably don't know what a margherita pizza is and would be confused just getting a basic cheese pizza, so he warned you
>>
>>219849338
they probably just wanted you to pay more for toppings. when thirdies see a foreigner, they want to to milk him of every cent possible

i had a weird interaction with an indian customer last week
>he complains that we're out of store-brand eggs
>in reality we do have them, but in cases without our branding
>he doesn't listen and keep saying he likes the store-brand and that we are out of them
>we can't convince him, so we both shrug and walk away
why did he think that he knows better than us, when we fucking work there and he doesn't? that really pissed us off

This happened on March 18th 2024

>>219849516
Well he's not "most indians", he works in an Italian restaurant where pizza margherita is a part of the menu

>>219849520
Maybe he thought you are trying to scam him

>>219849549
Where did I say I was mad? The pizza was good. I was just confused by his "it has nothing on it" while in reality it had everything it was supposed to have

I'm evil
>>
>>219849637
No you aren't <3

Unironically, the best pizza in this god-forsaken country is at Domino's, where I am currently having lunch.
>>
>>219849647
In the country I'm currently in dominos is overpriced.
In Russia I had dominos once and it was super greasy so I never had it again.
>>
>>219849662
>and it was super greasy
Just like an American lubed-up penis!

>Well he's not "most indians", he works in an Italian restaurant where pizza margherita is a part of the menu
Sir. He warned you. Please stop being mad.

I don't think you understand

most indians who go to the pizza place are unlikely to know what a margherita pizza is.
Getting pizza is a novelty for indians, like getting soondobu would be a novelty for an American. They don't eat pizza several times a month at a minimum like westerners do.

so while the waiter obviously knows what he is serving, he is warning you because he's used to his OTHER customers - indians - being confused by what a margherita pizza is.
make sense? he's probably experienced several cases of his other customers getting a margherita and getting upset that it's "just a cheese pizza".

btw I know for a fact this is what happened, I've traveled in india extensively and am very familiar with their type of autism

Yeah guess you're right

I spent a week in India and never once experienced any bowel troubles
