I don't know what to call this but I would love to know the country origins of these archetypes? For example everyone knows Ninjas originate from Japan. Zombies originate from the Caribbean specifically Haiti. Can we lost more of these type of characters and their country origin? I want to know where witches originated from, wizards etc...

the highest kill count of witches is in germany and they even have lots of folklore regarding witches like Hansel and Gretel. I think witches were just jewish women living in Germany.
