My parents (and an aunt) own an abandoned, old townhouse. This house has been in the family for quite a while on my mother's side (my father bought one of my aunts’ ownership a long time ago, which said house was inherited by my mother and her sisters from my grandfather, which if not mistaken he also had inherited it) of my family. As I previously said, the well is drying up, and my parents want to sell (aunt is on-board as well). Selling is the only option as it is in no habitable state. If it was, it would've been rented out insead. At first, my father asked my siblings because he really doesn't want to sell, especially outside of the family, but they both refused. So, he is now forced to sell to outsiders. One guy was interested but his bank was unwilling to loan him enough money. This situation has been riddling me with guilt, because had I not ran my life into the ground, I would have accepted to buy that house, preventing it from leaving the family, and I would've had the nice old townhouse - after restorations - of my dreams to live in, and it would've allowed me to properly help my family financially. But no, I opted to shaft my family and myself instead.
