A while ago a Pole called me a pajeet on some thread I don't remember. So I responded in Polish, intentionally in a way where it was obvious that I wrote it (i.e. not using Google Translate o algo), and told him I'm a Pole. And he was shocked and dumbfounded and changed his tone immediately.

But the truth is that I'm not a real Pole. I only just studied Polish at uni and regularly LARP as a Pole. I hope one day I can become a real Pole.

I actually was working towards getting a Pole's Card through volunteering at the Polish diaspora organizations, and as of February they changed the rules and only allow Pole's Cards through ancestry now. It seems like they want to keep me out. Hopefully I will go there on vacation this year.
