I'm gonna RANT ITT. In Malaysia, Eid is determined by the sighting of the new moon using telescopes. If the weather is bad, then the Muftis don't see it, so Raya is one day later. This is what happened yesterday, so Raya is on our Saturday. WTF is this shit? It has been 1400 years and they still can't pin down our lunar calendar. The Arab world will have Eid on Friday. It's a clusterfuck. The moon hasn't changed its orbit and won't change for at least another few million years. Yet our calendar can change based on a few old fucks looking through telescopes on hills like we're still in the 17th century.
