The island has been promised to us 4000 years ago by our Austronesian ancestors

4000 years ago your ancestors were hairy cannibals throwing sticks at each others, they had no idea what was behind the next tree, the existence of a distant island was simply beyond their cognitive abilities.

Europe/the west only been the most technologically advanced for maybe the last 500 years out of 7000 odd years of history. Most of that time Europe was in fact a stinky backwater.

How are you forgetting the 1200 years of Rome?

that's on parity with China and India around this time period. It wasn't until the late renaissance that Europe started to clearly pull ahead of everyone else.

Not really, Roman infrastructure was without a doubt the most advanced in antiquity but its up for a bit of debate for everything else

St Patrick was a ROMAN, this is anti Roman discrimination
>>
>>220236164
I'm not going to argue the Romans weren't more advanced in any area at all, but India had developed workable numerals and a mathematical concept of zero, while China already had a printing press. By parity I mean to say none of these societies had an overall technological advantage on the others.
