Has a bigger lie ever been told?
They had the Marshal plan, tons of east German expellees/central German refugees who had no perspective and were willing to work for pennies, plus central German companies like Siemens/Audi/Zeiss etc pp that were fleeing communism.
Actually the US literally relocated the latter company, which was not the only instance of that.

West Germans are NOT good at economics or politics. Sheer happenstance enabled their very temporary success, which was largely based on cannibalizing the central German achievements of the past.
They make one irrational decision after another.
Such as voting an ex-STASI chancellor into power or shutting down NPPs at the very time cheap Russian gas stops coming in (making the German economy dependent on Russian gas was the work of the ex-STASI chancellor btw).
I mean they allowed the culturally marxist revolutions of 1968 to happen, which caused all of this in the first place.
Their shitty state like entity is going down the drain finally and it's poetic justice, right out of a Schiller novel.
