>>220270983The recency is what freaks me out, in the 90s obesity was like 10% and growing up in the 2000s the stereotype for people in the US was generally thin emos and punks. The fat stereotype only really took off in the 2010s and how people fixate on blacks when by far the largest minority is hispanics. The US has to have the most volatile image shifts in history that get memoryholed like every 5-10 years.
