>>220288541everyone i know who was raised as a Christian loves Jesus in a very chill and innocuous way. They're generally good people. They rarely talk about Him outside of church. Only in very dire moments of their life, like if a loved one is in critical condition at the hospital, have i heard them invoke His power. Every later-in-life Christian convert that I know abuses the fuck out of Jesus's name. They use him as an excuse to forgive their own most vile impulses. They use him as a weapon against others, and as a shield to hide behind while they spew shit into the world. It's actually disgusting. Half of them came to Christ in some sort of 12-step Alcohol/Narcotics Addiction Recovery program. The other half adopted Christianity as a skinsuit to wear, after getting brain rotted by social media tribalism. I don't know what to do about such people. I'd rather not call them Christians.
