Every major race needs the other to gain majority in Parliament, so we are forced to work together. Malays need the Chinese to win plurality. The Chinese need Malays to ensure they are not genocided like in Indonesia. The Indians have become much less important recently due to the rise of the Borneans but they can still tip the scales at important constituencies. And so matters remain.
