A lot of evil shit has happen, because of racism, but I think completely disregarding it and going with the "everyone is the same" attitute will only lead to wrong decisions and misjudgments at one's own expense. I think the best way to handle that is to keep prejudges in mind, but giving everyone a fair chance. Remember, that they might act different as a indivitual, than in their group. And that not every group is compatible with each other.
