If I am getting a full cart of groceries, stuff that needs to be weighed, discounts that need to be entered into the pos system, etc I will go to the store that actually has cashiers working the till.

Inner city stores can be absolute chaos on a work night and some real scummy people can manage to get a whole shopping cart of stuff out unnoticed.And how you might ask? Because so many normies set off the detectors by self serve either not scanning something correctly or they missed some item and set off the detectors, so they're pretty much turned off 99% of the time to stop constant alarms.
