>>220320708Imagine living in that apartment block, trying to get any sleep. Is this the "cyberpunk future" you people keep tarding about?
>>2203207082 billion dollars are basically peanuts when youre the richest most powerful nation on Earth
>>220320965it's on the Vegas strip so it's already going to be loud and distracting. They wouldn't approve it being built in a residential area.
>>220320708They spend 2 billion every two days for war. A face ball doesn't seem that bad now huh
Imagine a pink Kirby on that hehe
>>220320708I <3 yanks so much it's unreal
>>220320708Barely anyone to see it too, I've read that Vegas is completely devoid of tourists.
>>220320708its very based
>>220320708
>>220320708The Eagles had like seven, fully sold-out, back-to-back concerts there. You can draw two things from this: dad rock never died, and that the Sphere is an incredibly successful venue.
>>220320708Garish, tax-sucking megaprojects that provide a false sense of economic opportunity while ignoring all the real issues plaguing the city is a fundamental Vegas tradition.
>>220321320Imagine watching blacked porn on that screen.
>>220321365>noooo you need to give 2 billion to the homeless instead!
>>220321339Those nosebleeds are so steep, I’d be mortified to try navigating them.
>>220321368same crowd, lol

>>220320965oddly, there is some housing right next to it
>>220321414If it was in China it would cost 80% less to build and be done in 1 year, so yes it would be a marvel.
if china had built this you would all be soyfacing

>>220321543>Labor costs lessC'mon now, it's also the expertise and efficiency, you can't expect labor alone to take down more than 10% of the cost
truly the newest world wonder
>>220320708The Emiratis should have installed one in Dubai. The ooooooing and ahhhing as Iranian missiles flew over would have been memeworthy.

>>220320965my friend can see the sphere from his window
It's the end of Las Vegas. LV has built pretty much everything that could be built, short of a space elevator or spaceport. They need new ways of attracting people and new ways of imposing advertising. LV doesn't have much else outside of being an advertising platform for other businesses, and now that nobody wants to go to Vegas means the entire bottom drops out. A city-as-a-platform model doesn't work. Cities and urban developments require some sort of pre-existing thing to make themselves viable, except for very rare exceptions such as Istanbul, Colonge, London and NYC.Las Vegas was originally a beautiful meadow valley pastures flanked by high desert mountains loaded with minerals. Then California took the water away, so everything dried up and died. Then free trade and cheap gas made the mineral lodes uneconomical to exploit. Then the airplane factories walked in from Los Angeles and took over. Then the mob came in and turned the casinos into resorts. The water, mines, airplane factories, and mafia are all gone. Empty hotels, warehouses and Hoover Dam remains.Climate change will not be kind to Southern Nevada. At least Reno actually gets wetter, because California's hippies are deconstructing the water projects in Norcal and Southern Oregon to restore hetch hetchy. Reno also has more jobs because of it's proximity to Sacramento, just within range of a Tesla. Reno kept more of their mines and is closer to the large data centers in Silicon Valley. Las Vegas only gets drier as it's friend Hollywood gets older.
>>220324478I'm a vegas local btw and my family has been here since the 19th century. I am posting this from the UNLV library, since UNLV is one of the few things worthwhile in Las Vegas.
