Dropped out of college because ADHD screwed me over. 21 now and taking medications while trying to get enrolled college again
>>220321126Me too bud. ADHD fucking sucks. I'm currently appealing the suspension of my scholarship. I can't sit down and study.
>>220321126I was on the verge of flunking out during early 2021 and slowly took several years just to get 60 credit hours. not proud of it
I'm a highschool dropout NEET at 25
>>220321126My ADHD friend dropped out too. It's hard to get diagnosed and put on meds here. I myself am kinda the opposite where I'm superfocused, but no idea what the condition could be as I never went to a doctor. When exposed to stimulants my friend feels diminished effects while I feel way more of them than I should, compared to a regular person.
Not a real disease. Grow up and take responsibility for your choices.
>>220321126Same. Not only ADHD but autistic as well. Honestly it's miracle I'm still alive
>>220321162>>220321494>>220321806Fellow ADHD bros>>220321622Listen man, just because some people use mental illness as an excuse to be lazy doesn't mean it's not a thing
Technically never dropped out, I took a break year at first and never went back
>>220321126>>220321162ADHD is a circadian rhythm disorder. Fix your sleep and get sunlight.
>>220321622adhd and anxiety hereany time i try to study i just become aware of all of my bodily sensations and become so frustrated with myself that i can no longer pay attentioni did good in uni for a while but a year and a half ago i nearly died and it traumatized me and i just havent been able to handle stress in the slightest since
>>220322382didnt mean to reply to that guy in particular
>>220321126YES I dropped out of college to sell drugs
I was kicked out of the military academy for insubordination and fighting upperclassmen
Yeah. Got a well-paying job thanks to nepotism though, and I mostly spend the last two hours of that playing with a handheld PC.
>>220322429Based
>>220322427>fighting upperclassmenThat's pretty badass
>>220322559It's not, they were hazing me during study call and always fucking me over during ranks inspection to the point that I had accomulated enough demerits to be a restricted cadet. So I fought back and punched two upperclassmen and made a shitshow stealing their pershing caps and having tactical officers and cadet officers chase me (I was a track and field athlete way before I got in). Then they left me alone until I was served papers for recommendation for dismissal. It's badass yes but I had hid my adhd and autism diagnosis prior and now i'm set to report in another police academy with falsified papers lmao
While I didnt drop out I didnt exactly do great overall. A few years later I finally get properly medicated and I really wish I went to school that way.
>>220321126>>220321162>>220321806>>220321956I went six weeks over on my year long honours thesis and was going to fail. It was actually so bad I was likely going to anhero. Thankfully I was able to get an extension and submit in the last 15 minutes but fuck, ADHD and perfectionism are a deadly combo get that shit fixed before you commit to any serious academic work
>>220322985Sorry to hear that man
>>220323040yeah it sucks dude the advice I can give you is if you're adhd and autistic don't join the military especially if you have issues with authority. even if you're strong and on the top of your academics and pfts, if you can't respect hierarchies and have a habit of questioning the integrity of your superior officers you will have a menhera episode down the line
>>220323327Should've coped with wifebeating like a normal military member.
