It's not like the climate change is suddenly going to stop when an arbitrary human calendar hits 2100. They just don't make predictions further than that because 80 years is already too hard to predict accurately. Even at the less bad scenarios they've predicted if it continues the same for another 100 years or 200 years after 2100 it's not going to be anything anyone likes and the planet will eventually become totally uninhabitable. It's just a question of how long will it take.
