Because you live in a white country. It seems like the default to you. I think our culture is great, but it does feel a bit plain, just being a white person in a white country. But plain in a comforting way, not in an uninteresting way.

Regional identity collapsed under first mass media monoculture then finally internet groupthink. Attempts to reassert white identity happening mostly in racist contexts doesn't help either. Nobody sane wants to be either. So how do you return to your roots as a white man without being completely cringe about it? How do you signal that you are proud of where you came from without implying it's because of anxiety brought on by being erased by some other? This is why our culture just gets fucking flattened and we abandon it.
