Italyanon here, i moved to Cyprus a year ago but im not 100% happy here.Taxes are great but the language barrier is really big and the talent pool is very limited here, on top of this if you want to stay in the only area with a decent IT/tech sector the rents are high and it's full of jews and russians.I want a place to settle down long term and build a business, I was thinking of moving back to mainland europe and my picks were either Portugal or Spain since they seem similar to Italy (language, cost of living, general quality of life and mindset). What is life like there? What do you think of the future of your countries?>But anon, why dont you go back to italyBecause Italy is a terrible place for businesses, nobody wants to stay there anymore.
>Cyprus, Portugal, Spain, Italy>ITque? if you want to work in a spanish country and work in IT that's California or Texas.
>>220338500i dont want to leave europe for the time being.
>>220338151> only area with a decent IT/tech sector the rents are high and it's full of jews and russians.this is everywhere in southern europe
>>220338721there are 40'000 russians in limassol, a city of about 200'000 people, so no, not really.they come here because it's halfway between russia and the EU and they can buy EU citizenship through investment.your fellow nationals are doing the same, there are about 10'000 israelis in larnaca, they're building gated communities with jewish schools and shops.cyprus is just a 30min flight from israel.
>>220338151Portugal isn't a good country for entrepreneurship, the government will rape you with taxes. Not sure about Spain
>>220339826do you have direct experience with this?
>>220339826>Portugal isn't a good country for entrepreneurship, the government will rape you with taxes. Not sure about Spainsame hereyou can to BCN i know some italians there
>>220343288taxes are high in most of europe, if you exclude cyprus/malta or some balkan countries there is no place that is truly convenient.according to the data i found both portugal and spain are still better taxes than italy anyway.
